From September 2008 to January 2010, Mr. Marcum served as Vice Chairman, Acting President and Chief Executive Officer of Circuit City Stores, Inc., a specialty retailer of consumer electronics where Mr. Marcum had also served as a member of the board of directors since June 2008. Circuit City Stores, Inc. filed for bankruptcy in November 2008. Prior to Circuit City Stores Inc., Mr. Marcum served in several other notable board capacities and senior executive roles, including roles as Lead Director, CEO, COO and CFO for a variety of nationwide specialty retailers, both public and private. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Connecticut State University in accounting and economics in 1980.
