Donald R. Voss is the Lead Independent Director Director of HomeStreet, Inc. He previously served as a director of Simplicity Bancorp and a member of its audit committee beginning in 2011, and served as chairman of the board of directors from October 2013 until the acquisition of that company by HomeStreet in March 2015. Prior to joining Simplicity’s board of directors, Mr. Voss held a variety of positions in a 25-year career with First Interstate Bank, culminating as an executive vice president and manager of the U.S. Banking Division. Much of his banking experience was with domestic and international financial institutions. Mr. Voss is a member of the board of trustees and the executive board and serves as chair of the Planning Committee of Descanso Gardens Guild, Inc., is a member of the board of directors of Valley Water Company, and a member of the executive board of the La Cañada Flintridge Sister Cities Association. He was an elected council member of the City of La Cañada Flintridge from 2006 until March 2015, and served as its mayor from 2010 to 2011. Prior to his election to the City Council, Mr. Voss served for five years as the city’s treasurer. Mr. Voss was a member of the board of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, including three years as chairman of that board, and also served on its audit and executive committees.
